It stayed on for far too long, but Slime-kun has finally managed to get rid of Mona's top! Tho judging by Mona's reaction, he better get her a new one and fast! (。> ‿ ◕。) ❤️
Heyhey everyone! Hope your weekend is going most amazing! And Mona and Slime are back to make it even better with more of their adventures together! ❤️ ゚✧٩(。◕ ꇴ ◕。)۶✧*❤️
The big thing this time is obviously the shirt-ripping scene! Mona is definitely gonna be mad about it after the events of this night, but I'll leave that for another animation =P Or maybe not! Some of you have already sent me the ideas about it! To add a few extra scenes at the end, where she bonks Slime-kun or something, while showing him the leftover pieces of her shirt. It would require some extra scenes and probably a little time skip, but it could be a really fun way to conclude the story! I'll give it some more thought! (๑❛ڡ❛๑)????
Big big thanks to Rii (@riizuwu) for the most amazing voicing, including all these extra extended loops! More about that in the P.S. section (。> ‿ ◕。) ❤️And shoutout to Milkshakers for the awesome music score they made for this project! https://connorelliott.carrd.co/
And this WIP really pushed me to do some homework on my Blender knowledge! This is the very first time I've tried to show cloth ripping in a scene, so I had to experiment quite a bit there =P
As you may know, I really like to stay in full animation control over everything in my scenes, so I really wanted to try avoiding a somewhat unpredictable cloth sim for this task. Plus, I'm currently using a slightly outdated Blender version, so the ripping effect probably wouldn't work quite the way I wanted with it anyway. Previously, for pseudo-cloth simulation in Fischl x Slime project, I was heavily relying on shapekey animation, where I basically treat the cloth object like clay and can fully control its motion and deformations. But that approach only really works for somewhat static objects, and Mona's top is quite the opposite of that here =P
The solution ended up coming from the same approach I use for curve rigging: a bunch of hooks, each controlling its own section of the shirt without disrupting the main weightpaint from the body. Then I added some general deformation shapekeys on top, a few smooth modifiers, and voila! Mona's shirt finally comes off properly, and Slime-kun is probably going to have to sew her a new one later XD (Or should we try Slime-clothing? (¬‿¬)❤️) Had a ton of fun with this little experiment, and I hope you'll enjoy its results too! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ❤️
Alright, no time to waste - lets jump straight back to work! So many new super fun scenes to assemble - upcoming climax, front action, fluid sims, more action on top, etc! So see ya on our upcoming Discord working streams, where we're gonna assemble it all! Stay awesome, safe and healthy, and see ya super soon with so much more adventures of Mona and Slime! ❤️(˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)❤️

P.S. I super super enjoyed working on these smol loop scenes for the current WIP, but the animation pacing really doesn't give me enough room to show them off properly! So we've rendered some of them separately, with some extra motions and duration, plus added some custom voicing and sound on top! So if u like these smol scenes as much as I do, u can watch or loop them separately too now! And if u like this format, I'll see if i can do similar stuff with some of our future scenes too! Please enjoy! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ❤️
P.S.S. Rendering the 4k version now, and will update the post with it right after my nap (๑❛ڡ❛๑)????
P.S.S.S. 4k version has been added - please enjoy!❤️ (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)❤️
